These two exchanged their vows in a church that took my breath away. We were able to sneak outside for a few pictures despite the bitter cold and it was so worth it. The celebration of John and Margaret continued in Kemoll's Italian Restaurant/ Top of the Met, overlooking the St. Louis arch and city lights. It was a beyond gorgeous day, see for yourself...

Wade and Erin are a sweet couple. I didn't have the privilege of getting to know them as a couple until their wedding day, and it wasn't hard to see why they are so perfect for each other. The way they look at each other says it all. Their wedding took place in a charming outdoor setting at Redfield Estates in Glenview, Illinois. Here is their story...
There are so many great things to be said about this wedding! Meredith had modeled for me for a couple photography projects I did in college so it was awesome to have the privilege of shooting her wedding. Blake and Meredith are such a beautiful couple but what I find even more beautiful is there love for each other and fervor for serving the Lord together. It was a wedding that left me inspired to say the least. Inspired to love deeply, to cherish each moment with friends and family and on a less serious note, to dance like there is no tomorrow!
Where do I begin with such a gorgeous wedding?! Graham and Chelsea got married in the small town of Wilmore, KY which is also where they met at Asbury University (my alma mater ;). There ceremony took place in a beautiful timber framed building that was built by the groom's father. One of my favorite things about this wedding was just how laid back it was. It was more about family and friends coming together, celebrating and enjoying each others' company then it was about all the little details (as I feel all weddings should be). Chelsea and Graham dated for seven years prior to this day so it comes as no surprise to me how comfortable they are with each other. I also got to capture a little bit of puppy love between the ring barrier and flower girl towards the end of the day and there are no words to describe it! I will just let you see for yourself...
First off, before I begin to tell you about this amazing family shoot, I want to apologize for my delay in blogging. I am hoping to be posting more frequently because I have a TON of photos I want to share with you all! Let's just say I never anticipated this summer being quite so crazy. Update on my life: I am currently working in Lexington as a barista at a cute little coffee shop called the Roastery (Check it out if you haven't already!). I have also been working part time at an engineering firm, shooting weddings on the weekends, and oh yeah, planning my own wedding ;) All this to say, despite my hectic schedule, you are in for a photography treat when my life slows down a bit!
And now for Egli Family. I can't even began to tell you how much I enjoyed this shoot. I am convinced that the best family shoots are those that take place right in the home. Authenticity is so easily captured in a home because after all, Home is where the heart it :) I felt honored to be able to step into the Egli home and experience a bit of there life as well as capture the precious new addition to there family, Lincoln Jacob. I was also pleased to see prints in there home from a family shoot I had done with them in the winter. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed capturing them. As of this past week, this couple became my soon to be in-laws and I couldn't be happier! Chelsea and Graham are one of those couples that you hang out with and can tell they have been together a while because they make each other laugh without saying a single word. Their love for each other and their silliness together can't help but make you smile. I had a fabulous time walking around downtown Lexington with them taking pictures. Enjoy! Here it is at last, my very first post on the new website! What better way to bring in the new year and new site than with a wedding....my college roommate's wedding to be exact. Matt and Andrea met one summer night in Africa and their relationship has been a whirlwind of adventure and travel ever since. Their mutual love for the Lord is what brought them together and it was very evident on their wedding day. From various shades of blush colored gowns to military uniforms, it was elegant and classy to say the least. The day was filled with love, joy, laughter, great food and crazy dance moves. I hope this gives you a taste of just how lovely this winter wedding was. Venue: Pere Marquette Lodge
